Beef Leaf Rolls Recipe
This romanian recipe is for a dish that is similiar to sarmale.
Ingredients:
700g
chopped or ground beef
150g rice
3 carrots suitable
5 onions
2 eggs
1 parsley
1 dill
pepper
salt
Beet or Cabbage leaves
3 g tomato
paste
200 ml cream
Preparation:
Cook a head of cabbage or beet leaves under the leaves are soft and pliable.
In
a bowl, add the chopped meat, the finely chopped onions, the grated carrots, washed rice, eggs, tomato paste,
the finely herbs, salt and pepper and mix the contents, together.
On each sheet of the cooked leaf put
about 30 grams of the composition and then roll the leaves and inert the ends inside. Place the leaves into a pot and cover
with water. Bring the pot to a boil and then drain the pot and place the beef leaf rolls into a casserole dish. Bake in
180 celcius oven for about 45 minutes or until done.
Serve with sour cream on top.
