Wine Jelly or Jeleu de Vin Recipe
This is a simple Romanian recipe to make and the Jeleu de Vin is often served in Champagne glasses.
Items Used
-1litre white wine
250gr sugar
10 sheets of gelatine.
Directions
Place the wine with the sugar in a pan, heat on low and keep it there untill sugar melts (few minutes). Add the gelatine that's been melted with some hot water. Put the pan on fire and when it starts boiling put it aside. Drain it through a handkerchief (not paper one) and put it in a tray to shape. let it cool down then put it in the fridge to harden. When you are ready to use it first put the tray in hot water for 1 -2 seconds to allow easy removal from the tray. Cube it and serve.
